Mrs Angela Tierney, LOT Director of CareMrs Angela Tierney  Chief Executive  email: atierney@lot-uk.org.uk
Angela Tierney joined LOT in 1999. She has previously been Home Manager at one of our Hertfordshire Homes, managing a team of 16 staff and providing support for eight service-users with high-care, complex needs. She has a wide range of experience in learning disabilities, having worked in all areas from autism, challenging behaviour to high-care and complex needs.

 

 

Gordon Farrow, LOT Finance ManagerGordon Farrow, FCA (Finance Manager)  email: gfarrow@lot-uk.org.uk
Gordon Farrow joined LOT in 2009. He has been in the accounting discipline for over 40 years and wishes to bring his experience into the charitable sector before he retires. Gordon worked for a firm of chartered surveyors for nearly 20 years before joining LOT, managing both national and international accounts departments, mainly in eastern Europe.

 

 

 

 

Rhys Bass ,

Rhys Bass, BA, CIPD (Human Resources Officer)email: rhys.bass@lot-uk.org.uk

Rhys Bass is a Graduate Member of the CIPD and joined LOT in January 2018. He joined LOT with knowledge in the Private Sector, working in the HR departments for Sitel, a customer service outsourcing company, providing recruitment support for the likes of Disney, The National Lottery, Virgin Media and many others. Following this he joined JD Wetherspoon, located at their head office in Watford on behalf of their Personnel department, specialising in various complex ER cases.

 

Trustees

Keith Rudd (Chairman)
Keith Rudd is a semi-retired businessman. He is Member, Trustee and Chairman of the Board .  He is Deputy Chair of Governors of St Columba’s College in St Albans. He is a playwright and runs Maxwell Douglas Productions which produces plays for the professional theatre and schools in Hertfordshire. Keith joined LOT in 2000.

Howard Kent, LLB
Howard Kent is a practising solicitor, working in St Albans, who qualified in 1984. His area of expertise is in dispute resolution, property litigation and personal injury and negligence claims. Howard joined LOT in 1996.

Ms Caroline McCaffrey, BA Dip SW
Caroline McCaffrey is a qualified social worker. Before Caroline managed the Hertfordshire Project for the Catholic Children’s Society Westminster, she worked in learning disabilities, setting up a respite care unit in Hampshire. Caroline is also a Magistrate on the Central Herts bench. Caroline joined LOT in 2008.

Philip Mickelborough
Philip Mickelborough is a health and social care  Consultant with 30 years’ experience, working as an associate for Laing and Buisson. He has worked in marketing and sales in the medical sector, and through his consultancy work has a broad knowledge of the healthcare sector, especially the elderly and physical disabled. Philip is also a Magistrate, sitting on the Wiltshire Bench since 2007. Philip joined LOT in 2014. Gerry Dingley is an experienced senior manager with 30 years of international marketing and general management experience at director and  managing director level. Prior to retirement, Gerald was Managing Director for Pentax UK Ltd, European Distribution Company of Asahi Optical Co. of Japan. Following retirement, Gerry became non-executive director for Hertsmere Primary Care NHS Trust, Deputy Chair and chair of Audit. He joined LOT in 2014.

Mrs Claire Stanley

Claire Stanley is a qualified nurse, midwife and barrister who has also run a nursing home for the elderly. Thanks to this she has a unique mix of professional skills. She has also been a Parish Councillor and School Governor. She joined LOT in early 2015.

Mr Timothy Allsopp 

Timothy Allsop  trained as an accountant at one of the top ten accounting companies. Following that he had an extensive career in financial and general management in large organisations, starting with Gillette, with multiple international roles. Following a family experience I began mentoring for a mental health charity and subsequently joined LOT as a trustee in 2016. I am committed to using my business experience to help the great work of the charity.

Ms Edna Petzen 

Edna has over 20 years experience working across health and adult social care in private and voluntary sectors. Edna has  more than 8 years strategic and operational experience as Assistant Director Marketing & Service Improvement at a national provider of adult care services and more recently as the founder and Director of Lynden Consulting Ltd, Edna brings a wealth of experience and expertise in business management, marketing and communications.  Edna Petzen is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and Chartered Marketer. She is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, Accredited PR Practitioner.

Mr Wasim  Ahmed

Wasim ‘Woz’ Ahmed is an advisor and consultant to early stage ‘deep tech’ ventures, specialising in international business development, strategy and corporate development.  He was previously Vice President, Ventures and Corporate Projects at Imagination Technologies Group plc, where he was responsible for M&A, venturing, market development, government relations and guiding the company’s APAC strategy.  His previous experience includes management roles at ARC, Avnet and Hitachi.

 

Life President

Miss Jane Reynolds, JP, DMS, FCMI
Jane Reynolds has been Chairman since she set up the Trust in 1989. Jane has 41 years’ experience of working with people with disabilities and older people, in the voluntary sector, the private sector and the NHS. She was manager of Leavesden Hospital and a former Chief Executive of the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution.
