Our Services

back to home
We enable people with disabilities to live fulfilling lives
Main Top

We aim to provide a stable, secure, homely environment for all our service-users, ensuring each service-user is regarded as a person in their own right, with individual needs. We achieve this through committed care teams offering choice, respect, dignity and by promoting our service-users self independence in every area of home life and personal care.

The routine within the home is structured around the individual needs and wishes of the service-users. Service-users are fully involved in the planning of their support, and Homes have an effective keyworking system enabling service-users to make as many decisions as possible about the running of the Home. Everybody has individual daytime activities which vary from day to day, chosen by the service-user and supported by staff.  Service-users access community facilities either by the Home’s own transport or by public transport.

There is one Keyworker to each service-user. They are responsible for taking a special interest in the person they are keyworking and into all aspects of their life. Keyworkers support the individual they are working with in developing programmes of support to meet identified needs and individual aspirations through techniques such as  person-centred planning.

All service-users’ rooms are decorated in colours of their own choice and where appropriate they take responsibility for keys to their room and the house, and help with household tasks.

Family and visitors are welcome at any time and privacy for visits is given.

The routine of the Homes is built around the service needs of each individual.  Regular service-user and staff meetings are held to ensure ongoing communication is maintained.  These meetings not only cover the necessities of daily living but also enhance the service-users’ living experience by considering holidays, membership of various leisure and social clubs and the provision of advocacy where necessary.
