| Life Opportunities Trust (LOT) enables people with disabilities to develop and lead fulfilling lives in their local communities. Originally established in 1989 to help people move from the long-stay institutions, LOT provides a wide range of specialist support. We offer long-term support but will help people to move to alternative accommodation if their circumstances make this appropriate. Our service users’ ages range from 22 to 93 and we cover the geographical area of London and the northern home counties. Quality Living LOT is committed to creating and managing a range of accommodation which promotes independent living skills. Service users enjoy a wide variety of activities and gain a real sense of achievement through the encouragement and support of LOT’s staff and volunteers. “You get more time to yourself'
LOT properties are: small in size, providing residential and supported living accommodation
furnished and equipped to high standards designed to meet a wide range of mobility needs cost and care effective. LOT staff:
offer a wealth of different skills and backgrounds are dedicated to working in partnership with service users, respecting their wishes and needs are trained to the highest levels.
Funding Life Opportunities Trust is funded through contracts with local authorities in Hertfordshire, the London Boroughs of Hounslow and Hillingdon, Westminster and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Our supporters also help us to raise money for extra special items and activities. We have a low level of administration costs to ensure the highest level of service. Productive partnerships with local authorities and other agencies help make optimum use of available resources. |
